What were the advantages of attending the CV2X Plugtests event? A unique chance for solution providers to maximize the effectiveness of their ITS solutions in test environments.

This event allowed testing between the ITS eco system under real life conditions from infrastructure to applications in vehicles, thus demonstrating interoperability of CV2X equipment. The test cases were mainly based on ETSI ITS standards and 3GPP test specifications. The week-long face to face event provided an opportunity to test CV2X devices, in both lab and field environments at Dekra Malaga site. The goal of interoperability testing was to check that devices resulting from protocol implementations could work together and provide the functionalities specified in the standards. Different topics were addressed, including road hazard signaling, traffic sign violation and intersection collision risk warning. The 1st C-V2X Plugtests event enabled vendors to run interoperability test sessions to assess the level of interoperability of their implementation and validate the understanding of the standards. What were the objectives and scope of the Plugtests event?Ĭ-V2X (Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything) is an Intelligent Transport System service using mobile communication technology for direct communication between vehicles, from vehicle to pedestrian and from vehicle to infrastructure.
